How it is thought to work
AOD-9604 is a piece of the fat-burning region of growth hormone, designed to stimulate fat breakdown without the effects of full growth hormone on blood sugar or growth.
What the evidence shows
Early studies hinted at a small effect on fat, but a large phase 2b obesity trial failed to show a meaningful difference from placebo, and the sponsor abandoned the program.
